On April 25, 2007, David C. Brinkerhoff, New York State Trooper shield 4531, was killed in the line of duty. On April 27, 2013, almost six years to the very day he made the ultimate sacrifice, Dave's family, friends, classmates and colleagues will again honor a remarkable person and a true hero with the running of the fifth Annual Brink 5K. Our run/walk will retrace a route that Dave mastered during his years first as an undergrad and later, as a trooper: the University at Albany loop.

David C. Brinkerhoff Scholarship Fund

Proceeds from the BRINK 5K will be used to establish the David C. Brinkerhoff at the University at Albany. The Scholarship will be awarded each year to a member of Five Quad, UAlbany's rescue squad and the host of the BRINK 5K.

The 2012 BRINK 5K will be an officially timed event, with race management by Super Race Systems.
